A local fitness center has joined forces with a charity to send shoes overseas.

The YMCA in Scottsbluff is partnering with the MORE Foundation Group to collect gently used shoes to help kids in West Africa. The “Shoes to Trees” program will use the shoes donated by the YMCA to provide better shoes and programs for African children. So far the YMCA has donated forty pairs of gym shoes to the cause and plans to send more with the help of the local community.
